Class info:

  • The cost is less if at least one parent enrolls and attends with their child. You won't find offers like this very often!

  • Classes will run for 1½ hours each.

  • Martial arts uniforms (gi) are not required, but suggested if you have one. Otherwise, wear loose fitting sweats.

  • This course is a great introduction to Aikido. Don't be shy! All levels of fitness are encouraged and welcome.

  • About Aikido: Aikido is self-defensive in nature and is sometimes referred to as the 'gentle' martial art. It teaches one how to deal with grabbing, punching, kicking, and aggression from others; not actually applying (and making one better at) kicking and punching. Over time, one will learn to sense aggression in others and develop a range of skills in diffusing aggression and conflict.

  • About the instructor: Christ Gryparis has a black belt (Shodan) in Aikido and has been teaching martial arts classes for the past four years.
