Welcome!

We believe that God's desire for every Christian is growth, and we want to help students grow in their knowledge of God and His word, and in the knowledge that only comes from doing what God wants us to do. Giving praise to him through all forms of worship and serving Him are two very important ways to experience God at work.  We want to love God with everything we have and love our neighbors as ourselves. PURPOSE:  Our Student Ministry exists to REACH students and introduce them to Jesus Christ, to CONNECT all students to each other, to help students GROW in their faith, and to challenge those growing to live a life of PRAISE and SERVICE to God.

Programs:

Salt Co. is the Student Ministries Junior High Youth Group, and we invite all 6th-8th graders to come and have fun worshipping God with us!  We meet on Sundays, 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel and on Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Student Ministry area.  Our Thursday meeting equips junior high students to handle life and grow in their knowledge of God. For the rest of the year we are switching  on and off from small group (Salt Mines) and Big group. We are studying each one of our key words in our mission statement. We usually wrap-up each month with a BARF Night (Bring A Real Friend), this is where students are encouraged to bring their friends and enjoy a crazy night of messy games.  Salt Co. is a place where students are safe to be themselves as they discover and put into practice the gifts God has given them. Salt Co. ministry events usually include a Winter Retreat, a summer Camp-out, night at the drive-in, Barf Fest our Fall Kick-off party, and our famous Turkey Hunt!! Gateway is the Student Ministries Senior High Youth Group, and we invite all 9th-12th graders to come and have fun worshipping God with us!  We meet on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the Gym, and on Tuesdays 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Student Ministry area.  On Tuesday nights, students gain both a large and small group experience.  they develop solid friendships as they learn, worship and have fun togethr with students from other high schools, including Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills, Stevenson, Lake Forest, Warren, etc.  Gateway ministry events usually include a Fall Retreat, a Winter Retreat and a summer Mission Trip.
