"The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts;
and though all its parts are many, they form one body.
So it is with Christ."
I Corinthians 12:12

COULD YOU SIT HERE?
Did you know that Love INC’s call volume increased three fold since the economic crisis? There are not enough people to answer the phones and voice mails pile up from people in need and from volunteers. Would you be able to help us process the increased needs of Lake County--In the Name of Christ by spending three hours per week in this chair? Your skills at answering the phone or doing office work will go far in helping us serve those in need. Call: 847-731-0526 (option 3) or email info@loveinclakecty.net

- Clothing Closet: Donate clothes & household goods or help mind the store.
- Home (Hope) Builders: labor for repairs, small rehab & remodeling jobs
- Financial Counseling Transportation: Give someone a ride or help repair a car.
- Donate financially via this link.
Contact Russ Dunn to participate in any of the above.
FOOD PANTRY
During this difficult economic time, many people within our community are in need. Our Hispanic congregation has an ongoing food pantry to meet this need in the name of Christ. Please consider helping them by donating non-perishable food. You can drop items off by the "Hispanic Ministries Pantry" cabinet in the church basement by the elevator.
PADS
Public Action to Delivery Shelter (PADS), an organization staffed by volunteers from churches throughout Lake County, provides meals, a warm place to sleep, counseling, and other services for homeless people.
If you would like to contribute food or help prepare meals for PADS, please contact Vicki Herrick. Volunteers are also needed to help with shifts at a local shelter 1 night a month from October to April. If you would like more information on that, please contact Colin Michaelis. PADS. For more information about PADS, go to http://www.lakecountypads.org/home.html
Salt Co. Junior High Youth Group (Middle School)
We are Looking for volunteers that love God and are growing in faith, enjoy finding answers to questions, are dedicated and able to serve on a consistent schedule so that students may build and maintain a connection; people that love junior high students (and like them, too!). We especially need female volunteers!
The Salt Co. Ministry ALWAYS needs support—financially and through prayer. The students go on life-changing and challenging trips so they need prayer. Some of them cannot afford to go on these trips so they also need some financial help in the form of scholarships.
Finally if you are unable to do any of the previous items, but still want to participate in the Salt Co ministry, there is a final way you can be a part of our ministry: babysitting the children of some of our volunteers.
Please contact Ryan Johnson at (847) 362-8155, ext. 33 or email Ryan.Johnson at efc.com
Nursery Volunteers
We invite you to donate one hour per month in our nursery ministry. See the Volunteer pages under Children's Ministries for open slots. This is a great opportunity to serve young families of our church body. We also need volunteers for 1 hour/month to help our teachers in the 2 and 3 year old classes. Please contact Irene Kalantzis at (847) 362-8155, ext 13.
Children's Ministries Opportunities
Children's Ministries invites you to be a teacher or helper in Sunday School or Children's Church. Please contact Kristin Swanson at (847) 362-8155, ext. 17.
MOPS
"Mothers of Preschoolers" meet the first and third Fridays of the month from September through May. Workers are needed to care for their children. Many moms that attend have no church home. With additional workers, two Fridays/month, our MOPS program can also open its doors to moms that have been on a waiting list. Please contact Beth Gehring, if you are interested or want more information. MOPS may be the path to introducing LEFC as a church home for some of these families.
White Cross
White Cross meets the 2nd Thursday of the month, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. during the school year. Come and take an active part in supporting missionaries around the world. We have an ongoing need for used sheets. Cotton is preferred but not neccesary. One of the biggest needs we have is for money to cover the shipping costs.
For more information on how you can help, contact Leisha Zych.
