Pastor Roberto Cambrany and Glenn Hoyle attended the Latin American Training Network (LATN) Summit meeting in Costa Rica on February 4-7th, 2008. LATN is part of our Evangelical Free Church's mission network - Reach Global. ProMETA is an innovative online university training pastors in more than 15 Latin American countries at the Master degree level.
ProMETA is strategically multiplying leaders in Latin America and grounding them in solid Biblical truth. The church is growing rapidly in Latin America and there is a desperate shortage of pastors who have even a basic training in Bible and Theology.
ProMETA provides affordable and accessible training for pastor and leaders who could not otherwise afford an education.
Our church is currently raising funds to create a new course for pastors. Currently we have raised almost $1,000 for course development.
Course Name: "A missional interpretation of contemporary culture." This course will be taught by Enrique (Quique) Fernández. Note: Enrique Fernandez is a graduate of TEDs and served as a vice-president with the Evangelical Free Church of America's national office for six years.
Keith Anderson (Keith and Judy have been supported missionaries of our church) says: "The basic idea of the course is to respond to the issue of how the church should interpret and impact contemporary culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The course will teach leaders the necessary skills needed to accomplish this. Quique has begun working on this course and is very excited about it. He is scheduled to teach this course this coming fall (September) and has already begun to gather research materials).
Financial support needed: $9,690.00 Dr. Enrique Fernandez will write this course.
Watch and listen to these testimonies of pastors and leaders who are impacting Latin America!
Guido Santamaria is a local pastor.
Alexander discovered his writing abilities in a ProMETA course and is now a published author. He works with abused children throughout Latin America.
