Welcome to Team 66!

We’re glad you’ve joined us for our Fall Tour of the Bible

Tour Purpose:  The purpose of Team 66 and the fall tour is to provide you with an overview of the entire Bible as you read it for spiritual formation.  If you are a younger reader or someone who is new to the Bible, this tour will help you understand the Bible’s basic storyline and its major ideas.  If you are a veteran Bible reader, this tour will provide you with a fresh journey through God’s Word.

Tour Overview:  The tour runs from September 17 to December 16.  During these 13 weeks, Team 66 members will read selected passages from each one of the 66 books of the Bible.  There will be five readings each week, so Team 66 members will need to complete readings on five of the seven days (you choose which days!).

Tour Guide:  We want each Team 66 member to have a copy of "The Essential Bible Companion" by John H. Walton, Mark L. Strauss, and Ted Cooper Jr. (Zondervan).  This will be a great resource over the years as you continue to read and study the Bible.

Tour Procedures:  Follow your ‘Reading Schedule.’  For each Bible book, start by reading the 2-page chapter in "The Essential Bible Companion."  This will provide a good overview of the Bible book.  Pay attention to the key verses that are listed.  Then, read the passage listed on the ‘Reading Schedule.’  As you read, listen for the voice of God’s Spirit.  Each passage will say something about God and His relationship with His people.  God’s Spirit will use it to encourage you, challenge you, humble you, or inspire you.  If possible, meet with other Team 66 members to discuss what you’ve read and learned.
